Sara
Sara was born and raised in western Washington and has always had a passion for animals. Her parents indulged this passion and she grew up with all manner of pets, ranging from cats and dogs, to birds, reptiles, and pocket pets, as well as riding the neighborhood horses in exchange for chores.
She graduated with Honors from PIMA Medical Institute in 2010 and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. The first five years of her career was spent at a mixed-species practice working with cats, dogs, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, and pigs. Sara left veterinary medicine for ten years, but stayed in the animal world. She spent the last six years at a non-profit Equine rescue, the last two as the Barn and Facilities Manager, working with neglected and abused horses, and teaching Equine health to new Animal Control Officers.
Sara's enduring love for veterinary medicine brought her back to clinic work in 2025. Her interests include small animal dentistry, anesthesia monitoring, and client education.
When not at work, Sara and her fiance enjoy the outdoors with their mastiff mix, Riot. They thrive in their overland adventures, working on their respective trucks, hiking all over Washington, and road trips across the Western United States. In addition to Riot, they also have an adult Ball Python named Noodle.
